Internship / Research

Folkartopedia; Archive of Folk Arts is looking for interns having a passion for in-depth research and documentation project in the field of art, history, and culture. As a researcher, you will be expected to produce high-quality research and write about folk, traditional, and tribal art and crafts and communities.

Selected intern’s day-to-day responsibilities include:

Researching and writing about different art styles, artists, and artworks.
Writing research papers, articles, and blogs about each project.
Documentation of art and crafts traditions and culture
Mapping of crafts and cultural traditions of India.
Content curation on Folkartopedia website and social media.

Who can apply?

Current undergraduate, postgraduate student or recently graduated in art, art history, anthropology, sociology, English literature or a related field.

Requirements:

Great communicator (both written and verbal).
Previous experience in art research and creative writing.
Experience in art, design, and audio-visual editing.
Computer skills, Microsoft Office, Excel, FCP / Premiere Pro, or others.
Ability to work independently and with acute attention to detail.
Available immediately for three months from June 15 2024 to 15 Sep 2024.
