We welcome volunteers to support the development of our archive and library resources, helping us to carry out research and create records of folk and traditional art and crafts traditions, artworks and artists.

Initially, the tasks include creating a database of folk and traditional art and crafts, writing artist biographies, digitizing paper records, commencement of interviews, supporting researchers and visitors to access materials, and providing assistance with engagement activities.

Volunteers will get the most from this experience if they have an interest in folk and traditional art and crafts and are keen to develop their research skills in a professional but friendly environment or pursue a career in the archive and heritage sectors.

A methodical approach to work with an eye for detail is definitely useful for this role.
