लोकगाथा सोरठी बृजभार संपूर्ण बिहार और अवध क्षेत्र में लोकप्रिय है। माना जाता है कि इसकी शुरुआत 1100 – 1325 ई. के बीच हुई जब नाथपंथ का प्रभाव पूरे क्षेत्र में प्रबल था।
